Mr. Mimbs is a CPA and a partner with Barnwell Consulting, LLC. Mr. Mimbs has over thirty years of tax experience including fourteen in Big Four public accounting. Prior to joining Barnwell Consulting, he was a partner at Ernst & Young where he was the national lead partner of the firm’s state and local tax minimization practice.
Mr. Mimbs has extensive experience in obtaining state tax reductions for clients through tax reviews, business restructuring, acquisitions, dispositions, credits and incentives.
Mr. Mimbs has made presentations to the Tax Executives Institute, the Organization for International Investment, the E&Y Tax Directors Workshop and the National Industrial, Retail and Consumer Products Conference and various other organizations.
Mr. Mimbs has a Masters of Taxation and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Mr. Mimbs is licensed in both Georgia and Florida.
